Hi, I’m Roya — your storyteller, ceremony designer, and officiant.
I believe your ceremony should be more than a formality — it should tell your story. I’ve had the honor of working with over 60 couples from across the world to create weddings that honor heritage, bridge cultures, and celebrate the deep connection that brought you together.
As a second-generation Iranian American and seasoned communications professional, I understand the power of words, ritual, and representation. I weave Persian and multicultural traditions with poetry and warmth so that every family — no matter their language or background — feels included.
My officiating journey began in 2019, when two dear friends asked me to lead their ceremony. What started as a gift became a calling. Since then, I’ve crafted dozens of bilingual (Persian & English) and cross-cultural ceremonies for couples across California, New York, Texas, Hawaii, Mexico, and Europe. Every ceremony is personal — no two scripts are the same.
Before launching Winner Weddings, I spent over a decade in communications and public affairs at companies like Google and Meta. That experience taught me how to connect deeply with diverse audiences and craft messages that move people — skills I bring into every ceremony I create.
I hold a Master’s in Middle Eastern Studies from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s in Political Science & Public Policy from UC Berkeley. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband and our two sons — and travel wherever love calls.
